Western Herbal medicine Herbal medicine is the oldest and still the most widely used system of medicine in the world today. It is medicine made exclusively from plants. It is used in all societies and is common to all cultures. Information learned may be utilised as a qualified practitioner, to complement another healing modalities such as ITA or Ayurvedic Medicine. The full course will require 2-3 years study and include the history of western herbal medicine, plant identification, herb classification & contradiction, materia medica, pharmacognosy, herb therapeutics, manufacturing, nutrition, chemistry, biochemistry. |
