Background

Since working exclusively with the ITA technique, both within the capacity as therapist and training faciliator, Melaney Ryan has received an overwhelmingly positive response from clients and students alike. As a result, ASI has successfully garnered attention from a broad spectrum of therapists and health care professionals across Australia and overseas, and is fast becoming recognised as a leader in the field of energy medicine, consciousness studies, and wholistic therapy.

In 2008, Melaney Ryan collaborated with Mark Nesti, scientist and author of the recently published book If We Are Anything: The Science of Om, Chi, and Consciousness. The purpose of this collaboration was to offer a scientific explanation to the theoretical and practical underpinnings of ITA.

The information collated and disseminated in the first round of ITA Tier 1 Training proved so invaluable to students that Mark created The Science of Om, Chi, and Consciousness – a short course that serves as an introduction to the scientific understanding of chi and consciousness. Mark achieves this through an exploration of common scientific models established within the fields of classical physics, theories of relativity, and quantum mechanics. These popular seminars are still being offered to ITA students and therapists as part of their training in ITA, as well as being open to the general public.

In 2009, ASI expanded its curriculum to include courses in Western Herbal Medicine, Anatomy & Physiology, and Chemistry & Biochemistry, delivered by highly regarded and qualified practitioners and lecturers in the field.

Vision

ASI was founded with the clear intention to assist humanity. It aims to do this through providing empowering training programs – in addition to effective and high-quality treatment options – in the fields of energy medicine, wholistic health, and the raising of both individual and collective consciousness.

Melaney Ryan’s vision for ASI is to:

Create a small independent school committed to high-quality educational practice. Classroom facilities conducive to teaching, learning and practice, as well as intimate class sizes, are maintained to ensure students receive the due care and attention they require.

Provide students with transformational and empowering tools for self-development and personal growth. ASI offers a combination of academic and consciousness-based styles of teaching and learning. Students acquire, experiment, analyse and synthesise knowledge through both cognitive and intuitive methods of learning and processing information.

Support charitable foundations worldwide. This is core to ASI’s vision in assiting humanity on a social and global scale.

Government Accreditation

ASI is currently working towards becoming a Registered Training Organisation within the Australian Qualification Training Framework (AQTF).

With this in mind, we are designing our award courses so that once registered, students who have successfully acquired the accredited skills and underpinning knowledge will be eligible through "Recognition of Prior Learning" (RPL) for credit towards Statements of Attainment for individual units of competencies meeting AQTF accreditation requirements and formal qualifications recognised within the Government's AQTF.

In the longer term our dream is to eventually be able to offer Bachelor and Higher Degrees in disciplines which include studies in energy medicine (ITA) & natural healing, consciousness, quantum physics, business, education and the natural laws of the universe, in partnership with Australian and Overseas Universities, Training Hospitals and Research Centres of Excellence.
